Robert Walker
Robert Walker Jr.

From Maryanne B - I'm trying to find out the name of a young actor whose first name was Robert.  He died at a young age, but had a son who became an actor.  I can't remember the titles of any of his films.

Mr. Pop History – You’re thinking of actor Robert Walker who died in August of 1951 from a bad reaction to drugs. He was only 33. Mr. Walker either co-starred or starred in many a motion picture during this time.  One of my favorites was Alfred Hitchcock’s “Strangers On A Train” from 1951. You can look up the rest on IMDB. His son, Robert Walker Jr., had a nice film and television run beginning in 1956. His mom was actress Jennifer Jones.

Come back soon, as I answer, to the best of my knowledge, another one of your pop history/culture questions.
